Weights

General information

The data for unladen weight and maximum weights are given from model year '97 according to the new standard 70/156/EEC with the weight for the driver.

The front and rear axle loads together must not exceed the permissible total weight, i.e. if the front axle weight allowance is exhausted, the rear axle may only be loaded up to the limit of the total permissible weight.

Roof load

The permissible roof load is 100 kg for all engines. The roof load is made up of the weight of the roof carrier and the load itself. In the interest of safety, it is recommended that the load be evenly distributed and that a speed of 120 km/h should not be exceeded.

Trailer operation

With trailer operation, the permissible rear axle load may be exceeded by 55 kg. If the rear axle load is exceeded by 55 kg, the maximum speed may be max. 100 km/h. If low maximum speeds are specified at a national level for trailer operation, they should be observed. The data for unladen weight and maximum weights are without the driver. Weights for driver: 75 kg (68 kg + 7 kg luggage).

Special note:

The corresponding weights and trailer loads are to be taken from the vehicle identification plate or the operating instructions accompanying the vehicle. In this way a correspondence between the vehicle and the particulars is achieved.
