Engine Control Unit, Remove and Install
Note: The security
code must be reset with TECH 2 before removal when replacing or
swapping engine control unit – see corresponding Checking
Procedures.
 Remove
Disconnect ground cable from battery.

Remove ground cable (1) from engine control (2) unit.
Release wiring harness plugs (3) and (4) in direction of arrows
and detach from engine control unit.
Remove engine control unit from bracket.

Install
Attach engine control unit to bracket.
Connect wiring harness plugs to engine control unit and lock
– ensure that plug contacts and plug seating are correct.
Attach ground cable to engine control unit.
Connect ground cable to battery.
