Fuel Pressure Regulator, Fuel Pressure Regulator
Diaphragm, Remove and Install (X 16 SZR)
Caution
Fuel escapes – observe safety and local regulations. Fuel
system is under pressure. Remove fuel pump relay – see
operation "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install". Start engine at
least 5 sec. – fuel pressure reduction.

 Remove
Remove air intake cover – see illustration "Air Ducts (X
16 SZR)". Remove cover for fuel pressure regulator (1), spring seat
(2), spring (3) and diaphragm (4).
Install
Diaphragm must sit in groove of throttle valve injection
housing. Insert new diaphragm, spring and spring seat. Attach cover
for fuel pressure regulator. Install air intake cover – see
illustration "Air Ducts (X 16 SZR)". Install fuel pump relay
– see operation "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install".
