Rear door, remove and install

  Remove

1.   Detach door check link (2) from B-pillar
•   Unscrew bolt
2.   Disconnect door wiring harness plug (3)
•   Push in wiring harness plug quick-release fastening
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug.
3.   Remove door hinge plugs
•   Remove 2x plug with KM-327
•   Remove 2x plug
Important:   Protect the edges of the rear door with adhesive tape to avoid damaging the paintwork.
4.   Remove the door
Note:   This requires a second person
•   Remove 2x door hinge tension sleeve (1) with KM-298

  Install

5.   When replacing rear door, transfer the attaching parts
Note:   Observe protective wax corrosion protection measures.
Important:   Protect the edges of the rear door with adhesive tape to avoid damaging the paintwork
6.   Install door
Note:   This requires a second person
•   Install 2x door hinge tension sleeve
7.   Install door hinge plugs
•   Install 4x door hinge plugs
8.   Connect door wiring harness plug
9.   Attach door check link to B-pillar
Note:   Use screw locking compound when inserting bolt.
•   Tighten bolt 20 Nm
10.   Adjust door to fit
•   I (4.0+/-1.0) mm
•   II (5.0+/-1.0) mm
•   III (5.0+/-1.0) mm
•   IV (4.1+/-1.0) mm
•   V (3.8+/-0.8) mm
•   VI (3.8+/-0.8) mm
•   VII (3.8+/-0.8) mm
•   VIII (4.5+/-1.0) mm
•   IX (4.5+/-1.0) mm
•   X (3.8+/-0.8) mm
