Field Remedy: 2596

Remedy:

In case of customer complaint install round rubber form 
into weatherstrip, door.

Carry out the following working procedure on both front doors.

Working Procedure:

1. Prepare cable (tool) to feed round rubber form into
   weatherstrip, door.

   - Use cable with diameter of 2-3mm and cut to length of 1m
   - Remove 30mm of insulation at one end of cable

2. Attach bared cable end (Picture I, 1) to round rubber form 
   (Picture I, 2)

   - Wrap bared cable end firmly around rubber form

3. Apply silicone oil to insulated end of cable 

4. Guide cable into weatherstrip, door

   - Feed in cable (Picture II, 1) into first hole approximately 170mm 
     above lock striker (Picture II, a) of door rubber seal 
     and pull the cable downwards out of fifth hole (Picture II, 3)
     from above with proper tool (Picture II, 2) 

     Important: 
     Avoid damage of the weatherstrip, door.

5. Pull at cable end to feed in round rubber form into 
   weatherstrip, door

   Important:
   Upper overhang must be approx. 20mm (Picture III, X).

6. Cut lower round rubber form to length (Picture IV, 1)

   Important:
   Lower overhang must be approx. 20mm (Picture III, X)

7. Install upper and lower end of round rubber form overhang
   carefully with proper tool into weatherstrip, door

   Important:
   Advoid damage of weatherstrip, door.

8. Glue (Picture V, 2) upper round rubber form (Picture V, 1) to
   weatherstrip, door in the second hole from above
