| Complaint: |
Noises from engine compartment at
acceleration between 2000-3000 rpm and in overrun condition, when
engine has operating temperature. |
| Cause: |
Missing or wrong positioned damping pad
between the AC refrigerant pipe and the side member engine
compartment. |

Remedy:
In case of customer complaint make sure, that the damping pad is
correctly mounted. Replace the damping pad if necessary.
Picture I: The refrigerant pipe (1) must not touch the side member
because flow noises of the refrigerant system will be transmitted
onto body and therefore into interior. Pay attention that the damping
pad (2) projects about 5 mm on the edge of the side member (arrow).
