Coolant flange, remove and install
Remove

Disconnect earth cable from battery

Disconnect positive cable from battery
|
4. |
Remove battery
• |
Unscrew bolt (1)
– |
Remove retaining plate (2)
|

|
|
|
5. |
Remove battery support (2)
|
|
|
7. |
Drain coolant
• |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
• |
Attach suitable hose to drain connection (2)
|
• |
Open coolant drain screw (1)
|
• |
Close coolant drain screw
|
|
|
|
8. |
Disconnect thermostat wiring harness plug (1)
|
9. |
Disconnect wiring harness plug for coolant temperature sensor
(3)
|
10. |
Disconnect wiring harness plug of EGR valve (4)
|
11. |
Detach coolant hoses (2), (5) and (6)
|
|
|
12. |
Detach bracket, wiring harness plug for oxygen sensor (1)
|
13. |
Remove coolant pipe (6)
|
14. |
Remove coolant flange (3)
• |
Unscrew 4x bolts (4) and (5)
|
|
|
|
15. |
Clean sealing surface
|
Install
17. |
Fit coolant flange
• |
Screw in 4x bolt evenly until the housing is in contact with
the cylinder head
|
Important: It is essential to
comply with the specified tightening sequence - risk of
fracture
|
• |
Tighten 4x bolt (1), (2), (3) and (4) 8
Nm
|
|

Attach 4x coolant hoses
|
20. |
Attach bracket, wiring harness plug for oxygen sensor
|
21. |
Connect EGR valve wiring harness plug
|
22. |
Connect coolant temperature sensor wiring harness plug
|
23. |
Connect thermostat wiring harness plug
|
24. |
Install battery holder

Attach wiring harness to battery support
|
|
26. |
Connect positive and earth cable to battery
|

Program volatile memories
