The following test steps must be performed in the given order. If a fault is found in one test step, the subsequent test steps can be skipped.
Fuse
- Check the following fuses for proper operation:

- If fuse FE18 is defective:

- Select the following Functional System on the diagnostic tester:
IPC (Instrument)
- Check the following data list parameters:

Diesel Particulate Filter
Only if one of the above listed systems is installed, check the following parameters for correct function:
- Select the following Functional System on the diagnostic tester:
Electronic Diesel Injection System EDC 16C9/16C39, Z 19 DT, Z 19 DTH, Z 19 DTL
- Check the following data list parameters:

AF 40-6 Electronic 6-Speed Automatic Transmission
Only if one of the above listed systems is installed, check the following parameters for correct function:
- Select the following Functional System on the diagnostic tester:
Electronic Diesel Injection System EDC 16C9/16C39, Z 19 DT, Z 19 DTH, Z 19 DTL
- Check the following data list parameters:
Perform the following troubleshooting:
After successful test/fault repair proceed to the next test step
