Complaint: |
Glow indicator starts flashing although the
DPF is physically not full of trap. |
Cause: |
In case the vehicle battery is disconnected
within 5 minutes after ignition off cycle it might be that the ECU
will set the DPF soot calculation to 105% as soon as the battery
will be re-connected to the system. If the driver now resumes his
journey it might be that he will reach the critical soot level
loading of 108% which will activate the flashing glow
indicator. |
Production: |
A modified software has been introduced in
production as of the following VINs: - Antwerpen W0L0AHL3575213114;
- Bochum : W0L0AHL3572240211; - Gliwice : W0L0AHM757G170471; -
Rüsselsheim : W0L0ZCF6871127170. |
Remedy:
In case of complaint perform SPS programming as of TIS 2000-DVD,
version 83 or higher.
In general wait for at least 5 minutes after ignition is off before
the battery will be disconnected to avoid voltage drop.
Note: In case that vehicle data need to be entered manually in
TIS 2000 it is important to select the correct alternator.
TIS 2000 screen:
"FL terminal plugged" = Bosch-Generator
"FL terminal screwed" = Denso-Generator.
Incorrrect selected alternator may cause failures because alternators
are not interchangable.
