  • Ignition OFF
  • Disconnect wiring harness connector from:
    X121 Assembly - Automatic Transmission
  • Ignition ON
  • Measure voltage between the following terminals:
    X121 Assembly - Automatic Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (component side) terminal 13
    &
    Ground

less than 0.3 V

Check: Short to Ground of Signal Circuit

  • Ignition OFF
  • Measure resistance between the following terminals:
    X121 Assembly - Automatic Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (component side) terminal 13
    &
    Ground

Yes: No:

Check: Interruption of Signal Circuit

  • Measure resistance between the following terminals:
    X121 Assembly - Automatic Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (component side) terminal 13
    &
    X121 Assembly - Automatic Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (component side) terminal 5

400 ... 500 Ohm

    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 5
  • Ignition ON
  • Measure voltage between the following terminals:
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 22
    &
    Ground

less than 0.3 V

  • Defective component:
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission

Important:

Reset the concerned control unit with the diagnostic tester before replacing it. In order to do that, call up the "RESET" function from the PROGRAMMING menu of the current system on the diagnostic tester.

E002 Result: Interruption
  • Circuit interruption between:
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 22
    &
    X121 Assembly - Automatic Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 13
    or
    A112 Control Unit - Transmission
    Wiring harness connector (wiring harness side) terminal 1
