Diagnostic Trouble Code Storage Condition

Rear Left Wheel Speed Sensor Incorrect Signal

• Incorrect signal from speed sensor

Effect:

• The malfunction indication is switched on.

Rear Right Wheel Speed Sensor Incorrect Signal

• Incorrect signal from speed sensor

Effect:

• The malfunction indication is switched on.

Outside Air Temperature Signal Range/Performance

• The control unit receives the following signal not or wrong:
  Outside temperature display
• Battery voltage is greater than 11 V

Engine-Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

• The control unit receives the following signal not or wrong:
  Coolant temperature
• Battery voltage is greater than 11 V

Idle Speed Signal Range/Performance

• Battery voltage is greater than 11 V
• The sensor signal is out of the plausible range

Brakelight Switch Range/Performance

• The control unit receives the following signal not or wrong:
  Brake pedal signal

Effect:

• The system telltale is switched on.
• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Incorrect Brake Switch Signal

• Comparison of brake-light switch signal (break contact) with brake-light switch signal (make contact) results in an implausible value.

Effect:

• The system telltale is switched on.
• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Brake Light Switch malfunction

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• System/component mechanical fault

or

• The control unit recognises the malfunction of the circuit via an internal evaluation logic.

Effect:

• The system telltale is switched on.
• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Automatic-Transmission Input Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to voltage/ground or interruption in circuit to control unit terminal 3, 8 (XC83)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Automatic-Transmission Input Speed Circuit No Signal

• The vehicle is travelling.
• No speed signal recognised

Automatic-Transmission Input Speed Circuit Range/Performance

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• The control unit recognises an incorrect signal from the following component:
  B194 Sensor - Revolution, Transmission Input

Effect:

• The system telltale is switched on.
• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Engine Speed Signal CAN-Bus Malfunction

• The control unit recognises incorrect CAN-Bus data
• The control unit receives the following signal not or wrong:
  Engine Speed

Select Solenoid Valve Circuit High Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to ground in circuit to control unit terminal 3 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Select Solenoid Valve Circuit Open

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Interruption in circuit to control unit terminal 3 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Select Solenoid Valve Circuit Open Or High Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to voltage or interruption in circuit to control unit terminal 3 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Shift Malfunction

• The control unit detects a malfunction while shifting.

Effect:

• The system telltale is switched on.
• The Emergency Mode "Shutdown Gearbox Actuator" will be activated
• Neutral Control is activated

Clutch Overspeed

• The control unit recognises a clutch revolution of more than 7000 rpm with clutch MTA engaged.

Effect:

• The system telltale is switched on.
• The Emergency Mode "Shutdown Gearbox Actuator" will be activated
• Neutral Control is activated
• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Clutch Solenoid Valve Circuit High Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to voltage in circuit to control unit terminal 7 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Clutch Solenoid Valve Circuit Low Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to ground in circuit to control unit terminal 7 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Clutch Solenoid Valve Open Circuit

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Interruption in circuit to control unit terminal 7 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Clutch Solenoid Valve Circuit Open or Circuit High Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to voltage or interruption in circuit to control unit terminal 7 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Clutch System Malfunction

• The control unit recognises a malfunction via an internal evaluation logic at the following component:
  Clutch

or

• The control unit recognises the malfunction of the circuit via an internal evaluation logic.

Effect:

• The system telltale is switched on.
• The Emergency Mode "Shutdown Gearbox Actuator" will be activated
• Neutral Control is activated
• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Clutch High Temperature

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Clutch temperature is greater than 280 °C
• Above conditions must be fulfilled for at least 1 s .

Shift Solenoid Valve 1 Circuit High Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to voltage in circuit to control unit terminal 2 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Shift Solenoid Valve 1 Circuit Low Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to ground in circuit to control unit terminal 2 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Shift Solenoid Valve 1 Circuit Open

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Interruption in circuit to control unit terminal 2 (XC89)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Shift Solenoid Valve 1 Circuit Open or High Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to voltage or interruption in circuit to control unit terminal 2 (XC89)

Effect:

• The control unit recognises an incorrect signal from the following component:
  B1_A112 Sensor - Hydraulic Pressure

Effect:

• The "Emergency Mode 1" will be activated.
• The system telltale is switched on.

Hydraulic Pressure Sensor Circuit Open or Low Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to ground or interruption in circuit to control unit terminal 4, 5, 6 (XC89)

Effect:

• The "Emergency Mode 1" will be activated.
• The malfunction indication is switched on.

Hydraulic Pressure Sensor Circuit High Voltage

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to voltage in circuit to control unit terminal 4, 5, 6 (XC89)

Effect:

• The "Emergency Mode 1" will be activated.
• The malfunction indication is switched on.

Hydraulic Pump Malfunction

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to voltage/ground or interruption in circuit to control unit terminal 1 (XC83)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Hydraulic Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

• Engine not in operating condition:
  Start
• Short to voltage in circuit to control unit terminal 1 (XC83)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Hydraulic Circuit Pressure Low

• Engine running
• The sensor signal is out of the plausible range
  (Hydraulic pressure too low)

Effect:

• "F" is displayed in the Info Display.

Hydraulic Pump High Temperature

• Hydraulic pump running
• The control unit recognises a malfunction via an internal evaluation logic at the following component:
  Hydraulic Pump
  (Activation time too long)

Hydraulic Circuit Accumulator Pressure Low

• Hydraulic pump running
• The control unit recognises a malfunction via an internal evaluation logic at the following component:
  Pressure Accumulator

Hydraulic Circuit Malfunction

• The control unit recognises a difference between desired and actual value.

Solenoid Valve Hydraulic Circuit Leakage too high

• Hydraulic pump not running
• The control unit recognises a leakage in the hydraulic system via an internal evaluation logic

Effect:

Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Malfunction

• The control unit receives the following signal not or wrong:
