Replace clutch module (M20 MTA)
Remove
Important: Follow Easytronic
safety guidelines .
Before carrying out any work on the M20-MTA high-pressure system,
it is essential that the MTA system pressure (approx. 40-60 bar) is
released.

Remove MTA system pressure
|
2. |
Remove battery support
|
3. |
Remove the charge-air hose (1) from intercooler to connection
port on throttle valve housing
|
|
|
4. |
Bleed CS Speed oil reservoir
• |
Unscrew closure cap (1)
|
• |
Suction out CS Speed oil using a suitable tool
|
|
|
|
5. |
Release and disconnect wiring harness plug of clutch position
sensor (2)
|
6. |
Detach bracket for wiring harness from clutch module
|
|
|
7. |
Place collecting pan underneath.
|
8. |
Disconnect high-pressure line at clutch module
|
|
|
10. |
Detach clutch pressure line (1)
• |
Raise detached clutch module
|
• |
Pull retaining clamp (2)
– |
from connector (3) at clutch module
|
|
• |
Detach clutch pressure line
Note: Seal clutch
pressure line with plug.
|
• |
Engage retaining clamp in connector
|
|
|
|
Install

Attach clutch pressure line (1)
• |
to connector (3) at clutch module
Note: Make sure that
the retaining clamp (2) audibly engages.
|
|
13. |
Insert clutch module.
|
|
|
14. |
Fasten clutch module.
• |
Tighten 2x bolt (1) 10 Nm
|
|
15. |
Connect high-pressure line to clutch module
• |
Tighten union nut (2) 14 Nm
|
|
|
|
16. |
Connect and lock wiring harness plug of clutch position sensor
(2)
|
17. |
Attach bracket for wiring harness to clutch module
|
|
|
18. |
Fit the charge-air hose from intercooler to connection port on
throttle valve housing
• |
Tighten 2x clamp 3.5 Nm
|
|
|
|
19. |
Fill CS Speed hydraulic fluid
Note: With the system
depressurised, fill the reservoir to just under the lower line of
the filler pipe.

Bleed hydraulic clutch actuation
|

Install battery support and battery
|

Program volatile memories
