Complaint: |
Customer complaint about droning/booming
noise around 1500-3500 1/min. |
Cause: |
Between 1500-3500 rpm engine vibration
causes resonance in exhaust system around 300 Hz. |
Production: |
Insulator exhaust rear muffler rubbers have
been changed in production. Countermeasure implementation in
assembly plant as follows: a.) Gliwice: With SOP 2007 b.) Ellesmere

Remedy:
In case of customer complaint carry out the following
description.
Note: For Astra-H with Z13DTH engine please refer also TSB
2381.
1. Replace both rear exhaust rubber hangers with partnumber:
55557723 / cataloguenumber: 58 50 341.
2. Turn rear muffler that both exhaust hangers used with same weight.
3. Adjust tailgate with more tension to rear frame (move striker forwards).
