Remedy:

In case of customer complaint the inner sill trim has to be removed 
and the carpet insulation has to be positioned correctly.

Working Procedure:

 1. Measure the distance between clutch pedal and inner sill trim 
    (Picture I, X)

    Note:
    X less than 125 mm is NOK

 2. Remove the front and rear side door sill trim plate

    - see working procedure "Front and Rear Side Door Sill Trim 
      Plate Replacement", group "Body Hardware and Trim", 
      Service Instruction Astra-J.

 3. The insulation (Picture II, 1) of the front floor carpet has to 
    be positioned correctly behind the wiring harness connector (2).    

 4. Install the front and rear side door sill trim plate

    - see working procedure "Front and Rear Side Door Sill Trim 
      Plate Replacement", group "Body Hardware and Trim", 
      Service Instruction Astra-J.

    Note:
    Install from front to rear.
    Make sure that the guidance pin (Picture III, 1) is correctly 
    installed to the positioning hole (2).
