| Complaint: |
Customer complain about too high oil
consumption, different trouble codes from the turbocharger system
(e.g. P0106, P1101, P0236, P0107) or oil leakage from valve cover
near pressure regulation valve. |
| Cause: |
The mushroom valve in the intake manifold
which prevents boost pressure from entering the blowby system has
fallen off. This causes high pressure in the blowby system which
could damage the valve cover pressure regulation valve. |
| Production: |
Improved intake manifold has been introduced
into production as of January 2011. |
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint, remove the blowby hose on the intake
manifold and check if the mushroom valve is still in place.
Check with aid of a torch if the red cone can be seen (pic. I, 1).
If the red cone can not be seen, the intake manifold has to be
replaced.
