Generator, Air Conditioning Compressor, and Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement

Special Tools

•  EN-913-A   Installation Wrench
•  EN-6130   Tensioner Spring Holding Pin

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
3. Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .

4. Install the EN-913-A   wrench to the tensioner bolt (3).
5. Rotate the tensioner clockwise, using the EN-913-A   wrench in order to release the tension from the generator, air conditioning compressor, and power steering pump belt and to insert the EN-6130   holding pin (2).
6. Remove the EN-913-A   wrench .
7. Remove the generator, air conditioning compressor, and power steering pump belt (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Install and position the generator, air conditioning compressor, and power steering pump belt (1) around all of the pulleys.

2. Install the EN-913-A   wrench to the drive belt tensioner bolt (3).
3. Rotate the tensioner clockwise (see arrow in graphic).
4. Remove the EN-6130   holding pin (2).
5. Rotate the EN-913-A   wrench anticlockwise to bring the tension to the generator, air conditioning compressor, and power steering pump belt.
6. Remove the EN-913-A   wrench .
7. Install the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .
8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
9. Close the hood.
