Remedy:

Most turbocharger failures are caused by one of the three basic
reasons:

     • Lack of Lubrication
     • Oil Contamination
     • Foreign Object Damage

Turbocharger parts overview:

1. Turbin housing
2. Thrust bearing
3. Compressor wheel
4. REA (Elektronic Actuator)
5. Compressor housing
6. Journal bearing
7. Nozzle ring assembly (turbine wheel)

Many turbochargers are replaced needlessly because a trouble-shooting 
procedure is not being followed.

Please use the following Turbocharger Diagnosis Table before replacing 
parts:
