Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Drain Plug Replacement - 2.0L Diesel LBS > < Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement - 1.6L LDE and 1.8L 2H0

Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement (1.6L LGE and LLU)

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
3. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .

4. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from refrigerant hose (2).
5. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (3) from A/C condenser (4).

6. Remove A/C compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) from A/C compressor (2).
7. Remove air conditioning compressor (2) and condenser hose (3).

Installation Procedure

Note:  Use NEW O-ring seals. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement .
1. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

2. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) to A/C compressor (2) and tighten to 19 N·m (14 lb ft) .

3. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (3) to A/C condenser (4) and tighten to 19 N·m (14 lb ft) .
4. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to refrigerant hose (2) and tighten to 19 N·m (14 lb ft) .
5. Install front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
6. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
7. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
