Complaint Water ingress in the area of instrument panel right side or blower motor no function.
Cause Water drops down from the right front wiper linkage bracket into the heater housing.
Production Improvements have been introduced in production as of VIN W0LPE8EG4B8054408 (plant Ellesmere Port) and VIN W0LPE6DG1BG072974 (plant Gliwice).

Remedy

In case of customer complaint ensure that Service Update 
"11-P-032 Astra J - HVAC Blower Motor" has been carried out.


 1. Verify customer complaint


    - Check instrument panel right side and right footwell for water 
      traces
    - Check function of blower motor


    Important:
    If water or water traces are present proceed as following 
    descibed.


 2. Remove blower motor and check for water traces


    Note:
    Replace blower motor if required.
    Dry heater housing inner side.

 3. Remove blower motor control module and check for water traces


    Note:
    Replace blower motor control module if required.
    Dry heater housing inner side.

 4. Replace passenger compartment air filter
