Circuit/System Verification

1. Verify DTC B356A is not set.
If DTC is set, refer to DTC B356A
2. Verify DTC B0987 is not set.
If DTC is set, refer to Circuit/System Testing.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module and the harness connector at the S48D Multi-Function Switch 2 - Instrument Panel.
2. Ignition ON, test for greater than 11 V between the ignition circuit terminal 3 at the S48D Multi-Function Switch 2 - Instrument Panel harness connector and ground.
If less than the specified value, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
3. Test for less than 0.3 V between the control circuit terminal 8 at the S48D Multi-Function Switch 2 - Instrument Panel harness connector and ground.
If greater than the specified value, test the control circuit for a short to voltage.
4. Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between the control circuit terminal 8 at the S48D Multi-Function Switch 2 - Instrument Panel harness connector and ground.
If less than the specified value, test control circuit for a short to ground.
5. Test for less than 5 Ω between the S48D Multi-Function Switch 2 - Instrument Panel control circuit terminal 8 and the control circuit terminal 4 at the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module harness connector
If greater than the specified value, test the control circuit for an open/high resistance.
6. If all circuits test normal, connect the harness connector to the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module, replace the S48D Multi-Function Switch 2 - Instrument Panel and verify the DTC does not reset.
If the DTC resets, replace the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module.
