Models: Engines: Option:
All All
Complaint: Seatbelt does not roll back, or seatbelt rolls back too slowly, or seatbelt difficult to pull out.
Cause: Clothes fibres, dirt, dust or twisted belt webbing can cause seizing or blocking of the seatbelt. The seatbelt itself is ok. The seat belt guiding system needs to be checked.
Production:

Remedy:

In Case of customer complaint, check D-loop (deflect mechanism)
for contamination regarding dirt, dust or webbing fibres.

Clean D-loop and seatbelt. Check function again by maximum pull out.

Sealbelt webbing must not be twisted! If still an issue, demount
trim cover and check again.

If the seatbelt rolls back, no part must be replaced.

Reassemble Trim Cover and check function again. Take care of correct
positioning of Trim Cover. No bending should occur, no sharp edges
may have contact to the belt webbing!

Caution:
seat belt webbing should only be cleansed with warm water or suitable
low concentration commercially available products. Strong solvent
based products should not be used.
