Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement
Removal Procedure

Warning:
Replace the passenger presence system as a
complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. The
bladder, the pressure sensor, the seat cushion, and the control
module are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of
the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence
system to operate improperly. |

Detach the driver or passenger
seat back cushion cover on the lower rearside of the
backrest. |
5. |
Release and disconnect the
backrest wiring harness plug (1), if equipped. |
6. |
Remove the 4 front seat
backrest bolts (2). |
7. |
Remove the backrest from the
seat. |
8. |
Detach the driver or passenger
seat cushion cover (1) from the seat frame (3) all way
round. |
9. |
Remove the driver or passenger
seat cushion cover along with the pad from the seat frame.

10. |
Remove the driver or passenger
seat cushion cover (1) from the pad (2), remove hogrings.

Installation Procedure
1. |
Install the driver or
passenger seat cushion cover (1) to the pad (2), install
hogrings. |
2. |
Install the driver or
passenger seat cushion cover along with the pad to the seat frame
(3). |
3. |
Attach the driver or passenger
seat cushion cover (1) to seat frame (3) all way round.

Install the backrest to the
driver or passenger seat. |
5. |
Tighten the 4 driver or
passenger seat back cushion frame bolts (2) to 35
N·m (26 lb ft) . |
6. |
Connect and latch the backrest
wiring harness plug (1), if equipped. |
7. |
Attach the cushion cover to
the backrest below. |
8. |
Attach the driver or passenger
seat back cushion cover on the lower rearside of the
backrest. |
