ELECTRICAL FRONT SEAT HEATING

When switched on, the seat heating radiates warmth until the thermostat switch in the heater mat switches off between 36 °C/97 °F and 42 °C/108 °F. When the ignition is on, the heating system switches on automatically as soon as the temperature is between 27 °C/81 °F and 17 °C/63 °F. The on or off position of the thermostat switch can be checked at the checking connection under the seat.

Note:

As of MY '90, the checking connection is no longer present.

If the seat heating is switched on at thermostat temperatures above 27 °C/81 °F, the heater mats do not radiate any heat.

The heater mats start to warm up again when the thermostat temperature drops to between 27 °C/81 °F and 17 °C/63 °F.
