In view of their extensive volume and of future additions and extensions pertaining to new electronic systems, these SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS have been divided into 4 microfiches. Microfiche I contains Main Groups A to H, Microfiche II Main Group J: Petrol Engines, Microfiche III Main Group J: Diesel Engines and Microfiche IV Main Groups K to R.

 

In these SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS all Kadett-E/Astra/Belmont models are described. The instructions follow the familiar group system and are divided into 13 main groups. The main groups are identified by letters as follows:

 

A  =     Maintenance, Body and Chassis Sheet Metal Parts

B  =     Paint

C  =     Body Equipment

D  =     Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning

E  =     Frame, Front Wheel Suspension, Wheels and Tyres

F   =     Rear Axle and Rear Wheel Suspension

J   =     Engine and Engine Aggregates

K  =     Clutch and Transmission

L  =     Fuel and Exhaust System

M =     Steering

N  =     Electrical Equipment and Instruments

R  =     Optional Equipment, Accessories

 

 

Each column is headed by a group identification page, together with a table of contents. The service operations are described in the pages following the table of contents. This system enables quick and easy location of the required service operations.

 

It is possible that the Opel/Vauxhall parts listed in these SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS are not available or permitted in all countries.

 

All TECHNICAL DATA is located at the end of each main group. Data of a general nature can be found at the end of this INTRODUCTION.

 

These SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS have been completely brought up to date with all the latest developments, changes and data.
