Complaint:

Leakages

Water leaks through the top of the left and rear door seals.

 

Cause:

Arrangement of the front door sealing at the top of cover.

After closing the right hand rear door the rubber seal is 'V'

Production Solution:

 

Remedy:

Amount of silicone sealer at the rear of the front door sealing.

Insert a hose section into the top of sealing of the rear door.

 

 

Eliminate water leaks from the front and rear door

1.    To increase the pressure of the seal, rubber profile from the top of the cover(roof /B-pillar) must be improved by a small amount of silicone sealer at the rear of the rubber.

2.    Make a 4 mm horizontal cut with a sharp blade in the top middle of the rear door seal (see picture).

       Insert into the cut a 10 mm section of 5 mm hose (lightly soaped to aid insertion).Fix the hose with a sharp object in the middle of the cut and re-glue cut in seal.
