Upholstery for Front Seat Backrest, Remove and Install or Replace  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Release headrest by pressing 2 snap buttons on the locking sleeves and remove by pulling up out of seat backrest. Remove front seat - see corresponding operation.   In vehicle Model 73 - remove catch lever knob and panel from front seat backrest.

At the reverse side of seat backrest: detach upholstery underneath from cross rod and pull up far enough to gain access to upper cross rod. Remove upper cross rod from right and left guides. Drive headrest guide sleeves up out of guide using a hammer and remove.

  Remove, Disconnect   

Bend up ring clips on front side of seat backrest using commercially available snap ring pliers. Vehicles with sport seats: bend up ring clips at centre of upholstery with commercially available ring clip pliers. Remove upholstery from padding and front seat backrest.     Install, Connect    Pull on upholstery over seat backrest, fasten with ring clips and commercially available ring clip pliers to retaining wires in seat backrest. Insert cross rod of upholstery up into guide. Attach upholstery underneath to cross rod. Push guide sleeves of headrest into opening.   In vehicle Model 73 - press on catch lever knob and panel of front seat backrest. Install front seat - see corresponding operation. Insert headrest in guide sleeve and engage.
