Adjusting Operations Wheel Bearing Play, Adjust
 Remove, Disconnect Raise vehicle until wheel rotates freely. Remove wheel cap and wheel. Remove dust cap from wheel hub. Release split pin on wheel spindle nut. Tighten wheel spindle nut to 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft. while turning the hub at the same time.

Loosen the wheel spindle nut until the locking washer can be moved.
 Important! The check is carried out with a screwdriver, observing that no twisting or levering movement takes place. Do not support screwdriver on the wheel hub! |

 Adjust If slot and cotter hole are offset, tighten wheel spindle nut to next cotter hole. Repeat check for movability of washer.
Important! If the locking washer can no longer be moved, loosen wheel spindle nut to next cotter hole.
 Install, Connect Fix wheel spindle nut with cotter pin. On the Combo model, ensure that both ends of the retaining pin (1) are bent inwards. Attach dust cap to wheel hub. Install wheel and wheel cap. Connect rear wheel - tightening torque 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft. |
