Vacuum Line - Brake Servo, Remove and Install and/or Non-return Valve, Replace  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Detach vacuum line (1) from brake servo.   For vehicles with quick release fitting: detach quick release fitting (2) for vacuum line from intake manifold (for vehicles with petrol engine) or from vacuum pump (for vehicles with diesel engine) - release quick release fitting by pressing in catch (arrow).   For vehicles with screw connection: detach union nut for vacuum line from intake manifold (for vehicles with petrol engine) or from vacuum pump (for vehicles with diesel engine).   Remove vacuum line.

  Disassemble   

Cut open vacuum line at connections (1) and (2) and detach from connection piece.     Assemble    Cut new vacuum line (rubber hose with textile inlay) to corresponding length and fit with new clamps and KM-J-22610 or with screw clamps.     Important!    Ensure that arrow (3) on non-return valve points towards intake manifold or vacuum pump.   Ensure correct diameter of vacuum hose, as different versions are used.

  Install, Connect   

Press vacuum line with elbow into brake servo. For vehicles with quick release fitting: attach quick release fitting for vacuum line to intake manifold or to vacuum pump.  

For vehicles with screw connection: attach union nut for vacuum line to intake manifold (for vehicles with petrol engine) or to vacuum pump (for vehicles with diesel engine).  

Ensure that all connections are free of leaks. Check brake servo function - see operation "Brake Servo, Check Function".
