Temperature Switch II (S29) for Fan Motor, Remove and Install (Vehicles with AC)  

Depressurise cooling system by opening of closure cap on coolant compensation tank.  

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Disconnect wiring harness plugs for temperature switches I (1) and II (2). To be able to remove temperature switch II, temperature switch I must first be removed.  

Unscrew temperature switch I from radiator. Collect escaping coolant. Unscrew temperature switch II (3) from radiator.  

Object Number: 616192 Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Screw temperature switch II with new seal ring into radiator - 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft. Screw temperature switch I with new seal ring into radiator - 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.  

Connect wiring harness plugs for both temperature switches.  

Top up and bleed cooling system - see corresponding operation. Ensure that anti-freeze is adequate down to -30 ° C / -22 ° F.
