Preparation
Switch off the engine and ignition.
Connections

Connect the red measurement lead to pin 2 (B) of the plug connector for the Hall sensor. Connect the ground lead to ground. |

Procedure
Start the engine and allow it to idle.

Loose contact on the component plug or elsewhere in the wiring harness. |
Check all possible plug connections for continuity. |

Faulty Hall sensor. |
Replace Hall sensor. |
Notice:
In general a fault on the Hall sensor leads to total failure, i.e., the signal plot cannot be measured. In the event of this, replace the Hall sensor.
