Cylinder Head/Cylinder Block Attaching Surfaces, Check for Plane Surface Cylinder head dismantled
 Inspect Check cylinder head along four sides and two diagonals for flexing and warpage using straight edge and feeler gauge. Permissible limit: 0.10 mm. |

If the values are above the permissible limit, grind cylinder head.

Do not go below cylinder head minimum height (dimension "I")! |

 Important! After regrinding the cylinder head, the valves and swirl chamber indentation must be checked - see operation "Cylinder Head, Disassemble and Assemble". |

Inspect Check manifold attaching surfaces for flexing and warpage using straight edge and feeler gauge. Permissible limit: 0.15 mm. | 
|
If the values are above the permissible limit, regrind attaching surfaces.
|
Do not go below minimum cylinder head width! |

Measure dimension from centre of processed bore to relevant attaching surface. |

Inspect Measure intake and exhaust manifold attaching surfaces with straight edge and feeler gauge. Permissible limit: 0.40 mm/0.016 in. If the values exceed the permissible limit, replace the relevant manifold. |

Inspect Remove fit sleeves from cylinder block. Check cylinder block along four sides and two diagonals for flexing and warpage using straight edge and feeler gauge. Permissible limit: 0.10 mm. After measuring cylinder block, install fit sleeves again. |
