V-belt Tension, Check and Adjust  

Object Number: 616197  Size: DEFAULT  Measure   

Use Tester KM-128-A. Test surface is the centre point between the two pulleys. Press the lever of the tester until the pin of the micro-switch touches the V-belt. A buzzing sound can be heard when the V-belt is touched. Read off value from the scale and multiply by 100 (10). The value corresponds to the V-belt tension in N (kp).

450 (45) N (kp)  

 

Run-in  

250 to 300 (25 to 30) N (kp)

If the V-belt tension does not correspond to the prescribed value, loosen the alternator from the bracket and tightener plate. Readjust V-belt tension by turning alternator outwards (= +), or inwards (= -). Fasten alternator to bracket and to tightener plate.  

Object Number: 616199  Size: DEFAULT  Tighten (Torque)   

Alternator to bracket  

50 Nm / 37 lbf. ft  

Alternator to shackle  

- 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft
