Remove vacuum pump - see operation "Vacuum Pump, Remove and Install".
 Disassemble Mark vacuum pump housing parts before disassembly. Clamp vacuum pump in vice. Detach housing cover and remove with O-ring (1). Remove vane pump gear with vane (see illus. II). Remove O-ring from housing. Unscrew valve from housing and remove with washer.
 Assemble Insert vane in pump gear. Rounded sides of vane (2) point to housing wall. Insert vane pump gear with vane so that grooves in gear point to bottom of housing when installed. Install O-ring. Attach housing cover at previously marked point and screw in valve. |
