Oil Pan, Remove and Install (Aluminium Oil Pan) Conditioning) > < Oil Pressure in Oil Circuit, Check, Oil Pressure Switch, Replace switch replacement

 

Oil Pan, Remove and Install (Sheet Metal Oil Pan)  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Open oil drain bolt - place collecting basin underneath.  

Remove front exhaust pipe (1).  

Remove flywheel cover plate (2).  

Remove fastening bolts for oil pan (3).  

Detach oil pan with KM-J-37228 from cylinder block - for this, work towards transmission from engine timing side. Ensure that the contact faces of the oil pan gasket are not deformed.

Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket residue.

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Apply a bead of adhesive sealing compound (black) to joints (arrows) of oil pump and rear crankshaft bearing cap.  

Attach oil pan to cylinder block with new gasket - tightening torque 10 Nm / 7 lbf. ft. 1) .  

Attach oil drain bolt with new seal ring to oil pan - tightening torque 55 Nm / 41 lbf. ft.  

Attach flywheel cover plate to transmission - tightening torque 7 Nm / 5 lbf. ft.  

Attach front exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold - tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.  

Attach front exhaust pipe to catalytic converter flange - tightening torque 18 Nm / 13 lbf. ft.  

Fill up engine oil to mark "MAX" on oil dipstick.

1)  Re-cut thread before re-use and insert fastening bolts with bolt locking compound (red). Installation time including the torque check is max. 10 min.
