Trouble-shooting: Nominal Value: Cause of Fault: (If nominal value is not attained)
· Ignition ON > 11.5 V · Battery discharged With multimeter, measure - Battery short circuit in cell voltage (20 V/DC) at - Corroded contacts battery and at wiring - Voltage supply to K 100 contact harness plug K 100 A 6, B 1, C 16 A 6, B 1, C 16 not OK. to A 12, D 1, D 6 - Ground connection to control unit not OK. K 100 A 12, D 1, D 6. - Plug connector X 5 Ter. 7 or X 16 Ter. A or X 11 Ter. 5 interrupted (only KADETT-E) - Relay K 58 or ignition control unit K 20 defective. - Plug connector X 11 Ter. 1 interrupted or corroded. - Control unit defective.
· Start engine > 8 V · Check starter circuit
· Engine at idle speed > 13 V · Alternator or regulator defective
