·   Ignition OFF

·   Disconnect plug from throttle valve potentiometer P 34.

·   Disconnect plug from intake manifold pressure sensor P 23.

·   Ignition ON

·   Short circuit in wiring harness

from:      intake manifold pressure sensor P 23 Ter. C (+ 5 volts)

to:          intake manifold pressure sensor P 23 Ter. B (input)

·    Ignition OFF

·    Bridge intake manifold pressure sensor plug P 23:

from:      wiring harness plug Ter. C

to:          wiring harness plug Ter. B

 

·    Ignition ON

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.7 to 5.1 volts

 

·    Short circuit in wiring harness

from:      intake manifold pressure sensor P 23 Ter. A (ground)

to:          intake manifold pressure sensor P 23 Ter. B (input)

·    Lead interruption

from:      control unit K 57/K 91 Ter. A 7 (input)

to:          intake manifold pressure sensor P 23 Ter. B

or

from:      control unit K 57/K 91 Ter. B 8 (+ 5 volts)

to:          intake manifold pressure sensor P 23 Ter. C

 

·    Ignition OFF

·   Connect throttle valve potentiometer plug P 34

·    Ignition ON

 

 

 

4.7 to 5.1 volts

·   Throttle valve potentiometer P 34 defective

 

·    Ignition OFF

·   Disconnect coolant temperature sensor plug P 30

·    Using multimeter, measure voltage:

from:      wiring harness plug P 30 Ter. 1 (BR: brown)

to:          intake manifold pressure sensor plug P 23 Ter. A

 

 

 

 

 

 

Passage

(less than 3 W)

 

·    Lead interruption

from:      wiring harness plug P 30 Ter. 1 (BR: brown)

to:          intake manifold pressure sensor plug P 23 Ter. A

 

·   Test step 03: coolant temperature

 

OK

·   See: test step 03: coolant temperature

 

·   Reconnect plug P 23

     Connect Vavuum Pump MKM-667 to hose of P 23

·   Ignition OFF

·   Ignition ON
