Introduction
This brochure describes in detail the checking of Multec-M engines using TECH 1 and the newly developed Program Module OPEL/VAUXHALL 87 - 93 ECU. Program Module OPEL/VAUXHALL 87 - 93 ECU is designed especially for vehicles as of Model Year '87. These Checking Procedures can also be used for manual trouble-shooting, blink code readout.
Only the TECH 1 cartridge specified for that brochure may be used in conjunction with Checking Procedures. In this case:
Program Module OPEL/VAUXHALL 87 - 93 ECU
Reason: Using TECH 1 Program Module 87 - 93 ECU, the F0:DATA LIST and the trouble code list can be read for all vehicles which have a TECH 1 connection and were manufactured between MY '87 and MY '93. If, however, further trouble-shooting is required, the test steps numbers given in the Checking Procedures will only match those in the Program Module if the Program Module specified for those Checking Procedures is used.
