REPLACE ECU

-

·   Self-test of EEPROM:

     The control unit cannot store the learned values and adjustments in the EEPROM 

·   With ignition ON, the fault is recognised immediately

Effects:

·   The engine telltale is ON.

or

·   Self-test of EEPROM:

·   The EEPROM configuration number read by the control unit is not correct

·   With ignition ON, the fault is recognised immediately

Effects:

·   The engine telltale is ON.

·   The engine does not start.

Note:

If trouble code 55 is stored, carry out the following instructions:

Disconnect battery;

Connect battery again;

Delete trouble code and read out trouble codes again;

If trouble code 55 occurs again: replace control unit;
