There are two different ways of influencing the control unit settings in TECH 1 mode F6.
F0:ADJUSTMENTS
The nominal engine speed at idle speed can be altered using TECH 1 and permanently stored in the engine control unit (see also F0:Data List test steps 39 to 42). The nominal idle speed can only be adapted within the limits specified by the General Operating Permit. It should only be altered if the engine is subject to severe vibration in the basic setting and when this can be eradicated by altering the engine speed.
F1:ECU RESET
If you wish to return to the basic setting for the control unit, select menu F6 in TECH 1 and perform the ECU RESET (see also F0:Data List test steps 39 to 42).
