O2 SENSOR OPEN CIRCUIT

·   Engine running since at least 40 s

·   Coolant temperature higher than 75 °C/ 167 °F

·   Throttle valve aperture greater than 0 %

·   Following trouble codes not stored: 21, 22, 33, 34

·   The fault is recognised by the control unit if the oxygen sensor voltage is in the range 343 to 540 mV for longer than 20 s

     (circuit interruption, oxygen sensor defect).

Replacement value:

·   450 mV

Effect:

·   Oxygen sensor regulation is switched off, i.e. open oxygen sensor loop

Note:

The oxygen sensor must not be wrapped in aluminium foil. Remove foil.

Then delete trouble code. If trouble code 13 is set again, start trouble-shooting according to F0:DATA LIST no. 27.
