Vehicle with automatic transmission:  

•  Engine running at idle speed, operating temperature  

•  Throttle valve is closed (idle speed)  

•  The idle air control is ACTIVE  

•  Battery voltage is greater than 12.5 V  

•  Coolant temperature is greater than 85 ° C (185 ° F)  

•  Selector lever in position P-N  

•  Vehicle stationary  

•  Press corresponding key in the system main menu to call up Additional Functions, select the desired test and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the diagnostic tester display.  

•  Ignition OFF  

•  Ignition ON  

Note:  

In this mode, the idle speed may be modified and permanently stored in the control unit within the range permitted by the General Type Approval (TA). It should only be adjusted if the engine is subject to severe vibration in the setting and this can be lessened by altering the idle speed.
