O2 SENSOR OPEN CIRCUIT

09, 10, 11

·   Engine running for at least 40 s

     Coolant temperature higher than 85° C / 185° F

·     Throttle valve aperture greater than 6.3 %

·     Following trouble codes not stored: 21, 22, 33, 34

·     The fault is recognized by the control unit if the oxygensensor voltage is in the range 350 to 550 mV for longer than 20 s (lead interruption, oxygen sensor defective).

 

If trouble code 13 was recognized, the control unit takes 450 mV as replacement voltage (oxygen sensor control switched off).

 

Note:

If the oxygen sensor is wrapped in aluminium foil, remove the foil. Then delete trouble code. If trouble code is set again, start trouble - shooting.
