Introduction
This brochure is published to coincide with the availability of the new TECH 1 program module "Opel/ Vauxhall MSC" and to provide the latest information necessary for the workshop personnel to be able to use the new program module to its full potential in fault analysis of the electronic vehicle systems.
In contrast to previous years, just one program module is required for the entire Opel/ Vauxhall diagnosis software this year. This is made possible by the use of the so-called Mass Storage Cartridges MSC. These program modules can be reprogrammed, which means that in the future, purchase of new program modules is unnecessary, as the software can be updated (the relevant MSC updating process will be published at a given date). In addition, the MSC has five times the storage capacity of the previously used program modules. This means that the entire diagnosis software for Model Years 87-95 can be stored on one MSC, corresponding to the following program modules: Program module Opel/ Vauxhall 87-95 ECU Program module Opel/ Vauxhall Omega-B 94-95 ECU Program module Opel/ Vauxhall RV/ LCV 92-95 ECU

From the Checking Procedures listed above, always use the most recent version which contains the system being diagnosed. Electronic vehicle systems which are not contained in the above brochures must be diagnosed according to the relevant system Checking Procedures.
This brochure contains all electronic vehicle systems which have been introduced or modified in Model Year 95/ Model Year 95.5.
Note: The airbag system checks described in this brochure only apply as of Model Year 95.5, as the system described is only installed as of this Model Year.
The following table lists the electronic vehicle systems (electronic engine systems, electronic body systems) dealt with in these Checking Procedures.
