Hydraulic Valve Lifters, Remove and Install
Remove
Remove camshaft and cam followers - see operation "Camshaft and Cam Followers, Remove and Install".
Remove valve lifters from camshaft housing (see illus.).
Install
Insert new valve lifters.
Install cam followers and camshaft - see operation "Camshaft and Cam Followers, Remove and Install".
Adjust
Adjustment of the valve lifters is not required, as their design automatically provides pretension.
