Subject: Engine - Family I - loss of oil at oil pump

Complaint: Leaky oil pump sealing
Cause: Sealing has not sufficient duriability and / or srews are loose.
Production: Modified metal sealing in production as of following VIN: VIN: Vectra: Astra F: Corsa: V1 169 061 V2 159 447 V4 236 701 V5 194 553 V5 171 195 V6 095 085 V7 096 372 V8 072 427 Beginning (May 99) with following engine No. Bochum: 02KH8751 Szentgotthard: 20J13544 modified bolts will be used.

Remedy:

Use modified sealing for oil pump,

     - see working procedure, unit "J", of the relevant Service 
     Instruction, by using the modified bolts.
