Note fuel tank filling and if necessary siphon off fuel - see operation "Fuel Tank, Remove and Install." Observe safety precautions.
Remove, Disconnect
Fold up rear seat bench. Roll back carpet at cut over electric fuel pump. Remove installation opening cover with screwdriver (arrow).
Disconnect wiring harness plug for fuel pump and fuel level gauge (1). Disconnect both fuel lines (2) from connecting ports.
Remove, Disconnect
Release fuel pump from housing with KM-797 (see illus. I).
Disconnect return hose from connection port; release clamp (arrow) and disconnect return hose (see illus. II). Illustration shows the fuel pump removed for clearer representation.
Press three locking tabs together with one hand (see illus. III).
Pull pump from tank with hook in fourth eyelet (see illus. IV).
