to:           K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. B12

·   K57 control unit defective

 

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance:

from:       X20 wiring harness plug for MID Ter. 21

to:           ground

lower than 2 W

·   Short circuit to ground

from:       X20 wiring harness plug for MID Ter. 21

to:           K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. B12

·   K57 control unit defective

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage:

·   Carry out TECH 1 self- test according to Operating Instructions

The following measurements are performed with the engine control unit wiring harness plug attached. The relevant terminals are connected to the measurement leads of the multimeter from behind, i.e. wiring harness side, using the appropriate adapters from Electronic Kit KM- 609.

·   Short circuit to voltage

·   Ignition ON

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage
