Notes on trouble-shooting

Nominal Value

Cause of Fault

·   Using multimeter, measure battery voltage

     between:    battery G1/Ter. 31

     and:            battery G1/Ter. 30

greater than 9 volts

·   Battery discharged

·   Battery has short circuit in one cell

·   Corroded battery terminals

·   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug K94 from ATWS control unit

·   Using multimeter, measure battery voltage

     between:    wiring harness plug

                        K94/Ter. 25

     and:            wiring harness plug

                        K94/Ter. 13

greater than 9 volts

·   Wiring harness, instrument panel, interruption

     between:    wiring harness plug

                        K94/Ter. 25

     and:            Ter. 30

·   Ground connection to control unit K94, fault

     between:    wiring harness plug

                        K94/Ter. 13

     and:            ground

If nominal values are attained:

·   Control unit K94 defective
