Function Standby

Standby is indicated by the illumination of the LEDs in the rocker switches.

-    Window winders on standby:          LEDs illuminate.

-    Window winders not on standby:   LEDs not illuminated.

a) Up to MY '93

The ECWWs remain on standby after the ignition is switched on until the driver's door is opened and closed again

(request door contact - warning buzzer for headlamp switch-on control), or until one of the other doors are opened

(request door contact - vehicle interior illumination).

If the driver's door is opened again, the ECWWs return to standby.

b) As of MY '94

As before, the ECWWs remain on standby after the ignition is switched off, but do not now return to standby when the driver's door is opened again.

·  Deviations in standby:

-    Corsa-B, Astra-F

The ECWWs are on standby only when the ignition is switched on.

If the ignition is switched off during automatic opening or closing, the windows are opened or closed to the lower or upper end position respectively.

-    Astra-F Convertible

The ECWWs are on standby only when the ignition is switched on.

If the ignition is switched off during automatic opening or closing, the opening or closing procedure is stopped.
