IMMO.SIG. TEST

 

Conditions for Checking

Nominal Value

Affected terminals:               F10, or A10, or B2

Possible trouble codes:        83, 84, 85

 

Press key F5 in the system main menu, select the desired test using the arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

 

Ignition OFF

 

Wait for 12 seconds

 

Note:

Before the ignition is switched on, a waiting period of at least 12 seconds must have elapsed since the last time the ignition was switched off, as otherwise the engine control unit does not send a new request to the immobiliser control unit for the imo signal (control unit run-on period).

 

Ignition ON

 

 

Note:

 

After the ignition is switched on, the engine control unit requests the imo signal from the immobiliser control unit and evaluates the received code. TECH 1 shows the display on the right:

 

IMMO.SIGNAL TEST

ACTIVE

PLEASE WAIT

 

If the display on the right appears during the test, the immobiliser control unit is not present.

IMMO.SIGNAL TEST

NO IMMOBILISER!

 

If the immobiliser control unit is not programmed, TECH 1 shows the following display:

IMMO.SIGNAL TEST

PROGRAM

IMMOBILISER!

 

If no imo signal is received from the immobiliser control unit, TECH 1 shows the display on the right:

 

IMMO.SIGNAL TEST

NO SIGNAL

RECEIVED!

 

If an incorrect imo signal is received from the immobiliser control unit, TECH 1 shows the display on the right:

 

IMMO.SIGNAL TEST

WRONG SIGNAL

RECEIVED!
